MPS is one of the small number of companies operating within this specialised sector providing services for the UK and European market. A wide range of aerospace components, including those used in the current Rolls-Royce main engine programmes, are coated, for example Trent XWB, RB211, Adour, BR710, etc. used for commercial and defence applications including the Royal Air Force Red Arrows Hawk engines.
MPS has been proactive in obtaining and maintaining the core approvals required for the aerospace market. MPS:
- Holds Rolls-Royce SABRe 3
- Is approved for most of the commonly applied (and some, not so common) thermal spray and paint processes.
- Were the first European company to hold Nadcap AS7109 approval for a thermal spray process and maintains merit status for both this and Nadcap AS7108 chemical processing (paint) approval.
- Holds AS/EN9100 rev. D and ISO9001:2015 approval
- Maintains an environmental management system and holds BS EN ISO 14001 site approval covering both its thermal spray and paint processes.
